Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
206 PM PDT Sun Jun 23 2024

...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT THIS EVENING
DUE TO WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES
OR641, OR640, AND WA691...

.DISCUSSION...Surface relative humidity will continue to drop
across the region as drier air aloft mixes downward to the
surface. In conjunction with breezy to locally windy westerly
winds, elevated fire weather conditions have led to a Red Flag
Warning which remains in effect until 8PM this evening. Winds
will decrease in magnitude overnight. Afternoon temperatures will
be in the upper 70s to mid-80s tomorrow, but temperatures will
rebound into the upper 80s to mid-90s Tuesday afternoon. Afternoon
relative humidity will be low tomorrow and Tuesday, but since
winds will be lighter, Red Flag conditions are not forecast.
