Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
1132 AM PDT Thu Jun 6 2024

.DISCUSSION...Forecast updated to add slight chance of showers and
thunderstorms this afternoon and evening for fire zone OR642.
Thunderstorms have developed in Malheur County and a few cumulus
buildups in southern Grant County could lead to a thunderstorm.

Dry and quiet weather continues with high pressure in place,
allowing for temperatures to warm into the 90s across most of our
population centers through the weekend. Winds will also shift more
easterly as high pressure prevails. Moisture will then move into
the region Friday over the weekend, leading to a chance for
showers and thunderstorms developing during the afternoon and
evening hours of Friday through Sunday, mainly across central
Oregon and the eastern mountains of Oregon. Monday onward next
week looks to be a return to warm and dry conditions.

***Thunderstorms imply strong gusty winds***
***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
***CWR-chance of wetting rain 0.10 or greater***
