...DRY AND WINDY CONDITIONS ACROSS THE KITTITAS VALLEY LOWER
COLUMBIA BASIN OF WASHINGTON MONDAY...

.Persistent dry and hot conditions will continue across the
region through Monday. Widespread breezy to windy conditions
through the Cascade Gaps and the lower Columbia Gorge and
persistent dry conditions have led to the potential for red flag
conditions.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT through MONDAY evening for wind AND
LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES WA690 AND WA691...

The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
until 11 PM PDT Monday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in
effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 690 Kittitas Valley and 691
  Lower Columbia Basin of Washington.

* TIMING...Until 11 PM PDT Monday.

* WINDS...West 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 18 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread
  quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
