.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 134 PM MDT Sat Oct 24 2026

High pressure is building back into the region behind departing
rain-maker. We did see areas of low clouds develop across
portions of East Idaho early this morning. Where skies remained
clear, temperatures were able to drop to near or below freezing.
Dry and continued cool conditions will continue into Monday,
though a gradual warming trend is expected for daytime highs.
The next system is projected to arrive as early as Monday
afternoon across portions of the central mountains, spreading
east through the evening and overnight. The system speed is
quick, which will limit precipitation amounts compared to the
most recent systems, but the forecast amounts have increased
very slightly from previous runs. This also translates to
slightly increased snow potential above valley floors as
temperatures drop once again with the system. We are still
looking at 1-3" above 6500-7000ft, but ridgetops could see
slightly higher amounts.

.AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 00Z MONDAY/...
Issued at 525 PM MDT Sat Oct 24 2026

VFR conditions expected through the period with light winds.
Only some occasional high clouds expected but there is at least
some low end potential for some fog/stratus. Confidence is low
however so it`s not explicitly forecast but will be something
to monitor later this evening and overnight given how much low-
level moisture is in place across the area from recent heavy
rain.

.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 113 AM MDT Sat Oct 24 2026

Drier weather returns to the region for the weekend. Temperatures
will remain slightly below normal and winds relatively light.
Next system arrives Monday into Tuesday. Some breezy conditions
along with wetting rain/snow above 6500 feet is a good
possibility.

.PIH WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES...
