The dry and warming pattern will persist through tomorrow as high
pressure remains in control over the region. Expect daytime
temperatures to warm into the upper 70s to low 80s across low
elevations today and tomorrow.

An upper-level trough will work eastward with the accompanying cold
front bringing breezy to windy conditions tomorrow. The strongest
winds will be across the central mountains and eastern Magic Valley,
where gusts will largely range 30 to 40 mph, while gusts will
generally range 20 to 30 mph further east. Precipitation will remain
further north outside of our CWA. Temperatures will run much cooler
behind the front, with highs returning to the 60s and low 70s during
the weekend.

The next Pacific trough will move onshore Sunday, bringing
isolated showers and thunderstorms to eastern Idaho late Sunday
through Monday evening. Expect a 5 to 10 degree cooldown for
most locations between Sunday and Monday, sending daytime highs
down into the 50s and 60s. Ensembles suggest weak high pressure
building in from the west beginning Tuesday, keeping conditions
dry and allowing temperatures to very gradually warm through
later week. That said, daytime temperatures will still run below
average during this timeframe.

A dry and warming pattern will persist through Friday as high
pressure remains in control. Cold front on Friday will bring breezy
to windy conditions areawide and cooler weekend temperatures.
Minimum humidity will be at its lowest on Friday but still largely
remain above 20 percent. Conditions will remain dry until late
Sunday/Monday when the next Pacific trough moves onshore and
brings chances for showers and thunderstorms to eastern Idaho.
Also expect a 5 to 10 degree cooldown between Sunday and Monday,
sending daytime highs down into the 50s and 60s during the
first part of next week. Weak high pressure will build in from
the west beginning Tuesday, keeping conditions dry and allowing
temperatures to very gradually warm through later week. That
said, daytime temperatures will still run below average during
this timeframe.
