High res models show another day of isolated to scattered thunderstorms
across central and east Idaho. As has been the case the past
few days, strong gusty outflow winds are the main impact. Gusts
approaching 50 mph are likely and even exceeding 50 mph in a few
instances. Heavy downpours under the core of the storms along
with small hail are possible as well. The ridge amplifies over
us on Saturday bringing heat of around 100 degrees to much of
the area. Good chance that we may see heat products issued once
again. Looks like that we get enough dry air that we`ll see a
break from the thunderstorms.

A dry cold front arrives on Sunday which brings cooler weather to
the area for the first half of next week. Weather looks continued
dry during this time. Winds over the weekend look breezy but not
strong enough for wind advisories.

Models show afternoon storms developing once again. Most likely
sites to see impacts from storms are DIJ, PIH, and IDA. Gusty
outflow winds are the most likely impact. Although a brief heavy
downpour reducing visibility is possible as well.

Hot, dry and windy conditions are looking more likely across
the central mountains into the upper Snake Plain for Saturday.
The fire weather watch remains in effect. Temperatures look
cooler Sunday but still expecting very dry and breezy
conditions. Strong possibility that we could see additional fire
products for Sunday.

Air quality alerts continue for Custer and Butte Counties for
the next 24 hours due to proximity and ideal trajectory of smoke
from wildfires. Blaine, Lincoln, Minidoka, and Cassia County
advisories have been lifted.
