Critical fire weather conditions are anticipated through the first
part of next week due to the combination of critical minimum RH
values and gusty winds. Widespread gusts will reach 25 mph with
ridgelines experiencing gusts closer to 30 mph. Winds will increase
slightly Sunday and Monday. A gradual cool-down will begin Saturday
and continue through late this upcoming week while dry conditions
linger for another week. Models indicate the return of monsoon
moisture by the latter half of next week.
