.DISCUSSION...
Above normal temperatures and very dry conditions will continue
in the South Hills today with a ridge of high pressure overhead.
Weak moisture transport over this ridge later today will support a
5-15% chance of showers, thunderstorms, and or virga late this
afternoon. Afternoon humidities today will drop to around 12-15%
with wind gusts up to 20 mph. A warm front on Wednesday will
support more robust moisture transport with a 30-60% chance of
showers and thunderstorms. Stronger storms will be capable of
producing wind gusts in excess of 30-40 mph, brief heavy rain, and
small hail. Showers and storms will shift east on Thursday as a
cold front passes through with dry conditions then expected
through Saturday.
