.DISCUSSION...
A shortwave trough today and cold front later in the day on
Tuesday will lead to near critical to critical fire weather
conditions, due to a mix of breezy winds, low relative humidity,
and isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Stronger
storms today and Tuesday will be capable of producing wind gusts
up to 50 mph, with a 15-25% chance of thunderstorms today and a
25-35% chance on Tuesday during the afternoon/evening hours. Winds
outside of any thunderstorms will remain breezy, with gusts
peaking each afternoon around 25-30 mph. A cooler and drier
airmass will shift into place on Wednesday with lighter winds and
a 5-15% chance of showers and thunderstorms, ahead of a warming
and drier trend back starting Thursday.
