...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN CARIBOU AND
SOUTHEASTERN BONNEVILLE COUNTIES THROUGH 715 PM MDT...

At 545 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Alpine to 13 miles
west of Afton. These storms were nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Very heavy rain is falling from these storms and localized
         flooding is possible.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Isolated flooding of rural roads, campgrounds, and hiking
         trails is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Southern Palisades Reservoir, Diamond Creek Campground, Smokey Canyon
Mine, areas near Freedom, and areas near Alpine Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
these storms pass.
