Latest satellite imagery shows weak convection in the form of low level cumulus clouds moving across the area. This pattern is usually an indication of showers embedded within the tradewind flow. Little change in this pattern is expected through the new week as a high pressure system will hold breezy southeast trades of 15 to 25 mph across the region. Additionally, moisture associated with a nearby trough could enhance passing showers at times; however, rainfall amounts are expected to remain below average. Hence, expect average temperatures (Highs 85 and Lows 77), breezy conditions, and scattered showers through the end of the forecast period. && .Marine... Elevated surf and seas were reported by observers this morning along the Avao, Matu`u and Faganeanea shores. These observations are consistent with the combination of trades and a south swell currently impacting coastal waters. Seas are expected to remain between 8 to 10 feet, with the potential to build further through the week as the prolonged tradewind event continues. In addition, several south swells are expected to move through the region into next week, resulting in an extended period of hazardous surf and choppy seas. The ongoing south swells will also maintain an elevated risk of rip currents, particularly along south-facing shores. .PPG WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES...
