.DISCUSSION...
Satellite imageries continues to show open cell cumuli clouds
streaming from the east as mid to upper level clouds moves in the
opposite direction. Instability is also present in the area of
responsibility (AOR) throughout the day. This instability is also
reflected in the upper air data (RAOB) from this afternoon
(24/00Z), with a high value of potential thunderstorm activity
in the area. Model data shows a surface boundary layer pushed by a
high pressure system to the south-southwest merging with a trough
to the north over the islands. This phenomena will likely maintain
unstable weather patterns over the islands throughout the forecast
period, peaking on late Wednesday to Thursday. Gentle to fresh
easterlies will likely linger for this forecast period.

Expect scattered to numerous showers with the potential for
thunderstorms, and a gentle to moderate easterlies for tonight
through the midweek. Numerous to widespread showers with moderate
to fresh easterlies is expected for the rest of the long term
forecast period.
