Tropical Weather Discussion

1010 AM ChST Thu Nov 27 2025

Tropical Weather Discussion for the Western North Pacific between
the Equator and 25N from 130E to 180. The following information is
based on recent satellite imagery/data, weather observations, radar,
and meteorological analysis.

...SPECIAL FEATURES...

None.

...OTHER WEATHER SYSTEMS...

NEAR EQUATORIAL TROUGH...
The NET remains stationary, entering Guam`s AOR at 3N130E, ending
near EQ157E. Scattered showers continue to develop along and south
of it near the equator. This feature is expected to oscillate
north and south over the next several days. A buffer circulation
or two may develop along it, and if so they`re head west-
northwest.

SURFACE TROUGHS...
A fairly-pronounced surface trough stretches north-northeast from
Nukuoro near 4N155E through Pohnpei, ending north of there, west
of Ujelang near 10N159E. Widespread cloud cover with scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms continue to develop in this
region. This will continue to be the case as it heads west,
possibly interacting with the NET.

TUTT...
The TUTT continues to weaken as it elongates, with it entering
Guam`s AOR near 14N180, stretching west to a col near 12N160E,
where it ends. Divergence south of the TUTT is providing enough
ventilation to aid in convective development, mainly between 8N
and 14N. This feature will likely dissolve in the next 12 to 24
hours or so, as indicated by analysis trends and model guidance.

ITCZ...
A weak ITCZ has formed between 7N and 11N from Majuro eastward,
helping to fuel scattered shower development. However, the models
show this fragment dissipating during the next 48 hours.
