...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CHST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 9 feet.

* WHERE...North facing reefs of Pohnpei.

* WHEN...Until 3 PM ChST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized
  beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A trade-wind surge has resulted in an
  increased northeast trade swell. This swell, combined with a
  small, but long period north swell, will produce hazardous surf
  conditions along north facing reefs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
