the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
A Typhoon Warning means that typhoon force winds of 74 mph or more are
imminent or occurring.

DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 400 PM CHST...0600 UTC...the center of Typhoon Saudel was located
near Latitude 18.6 degrees North and Longitude 145.8 degrees East.
Saudel is moving northwest at 13 mph. It is expected to maintain this
general course with a slight increase in forward speed through Sunday.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to 100 mph. Saudel is forecast
to intensify through tonight, likely to become a category 3 typhoon
before midnight.

Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to 85 miles.
Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 160
miles.

Service at 800 PM ChST early this evening, followed by an intermediate
