SUMMARY OF 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...INFORMATION ----------------------------------------------- Location...17.8N 163.4E About 235 miles west-southwest of Wake About 450 miles north of Enewetak About 825 miles north-northeast of Pohnpei About 860 miles north of Kosrae About 910 miles northwest of Majuro About 1185 miles east of Saipan About 1190 miles east of Tinian About 1230 miles east-northeast of Rota About 1270 miles east-northeast of Guam Maximum sustained winds...150 mph Present movement...west-northwest...300 degrees at 13 mph DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Super Typhoon Dolphin was located near Latitude 17.8 degrees North and Longitude 163.4 degrees East. Dolphin is moving west-northwest at 13 mph. It is expected to maintain this general course and speed through Saturday. This general forecast track would take Dolphin well west of Wake Island, well north of Agrihan, and very close to Iwo To. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to 150 mph. Dolphin is forecast to maintain this intensity through Saturday. Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to 65 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 145 miles.
