DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 PM CHST...0900 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Nakri
was located near Latitude 24.4 degrees North and Longitude
134.4 degrees East. Nakri is moving northwest at 17 mph. It is
expected to maintain this general course with a decrease in
forward speed through Friday, after which it will head northeast to
graze just southeast of Kyushu, Japan.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to 40 mph. Nakri is
forecast to maintain this intensity through Friday before gradually
intensifying thereafter as it exits the WFO Guam Area of
Responsibility (AOR).

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
70 miles.
