DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 24W
was located near Latitude 15.1 degrees North and Longitude
148.9 degrees East. 24W is moving west at 12 mph. It is expected
to make a turn toward the north with a slight increase in forward
speed through Thursday. The general track lifts 24W northward,
remaining just east of the far northern CNMI.

Maximum sustained winds are 30 mph. 24W is forecast to intensify
through Thursday.
