Altimetry and model data support that the mixture of the northeast and
north swells has diminished enough to allow surf along north facing
reefs to drop below 9 feet. Also, with the magnitude/peak heights of
high tides continuing to decrease, the risk of minor coastal
flooding has also ended. The High Surf Advisory and Coastal Flood
Statement will be allowed to expire at 5 AM PM ChST this morning.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CHST THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 9 feet.

* WHERE...North facing reefs of Chuuk.

* WHEN...Until 5 PM ChST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
  localized beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The mixture of the elevated trade swell with a
  pulse of northerly swell will support surf up to 9 feet along north
  facing reefs this afternoon. Then both swells will slowly subside
  and allow surf to drop below the hazardous threshold of 9 feet.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
