DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 AM CHST...2100 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 23W was
located near Latitude 24.6 degrees North and Longitude 136.8 degrees
East. 23W is moving north-northwest at 20 mph. It is expected to
maintain this general course with a decrease in forward speed through
Monday. This general forecast track will keep 23W over open ocean
through Monday.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to 35 mph. 23W is forecast to
maintain this intensity through Sunday, then begin to weaken and
could dissipate Monday.
