DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 PM CHST...0900 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Peilou
was located near Latitude 21.0 degrees North and Longitude
143.6 degrees East. Peilou is moving east-southeast at 15 mph. It
is expected to make a slight turn toward the east with an
increase in forward speed through Monday. Tropical Depression
Kujira (13W) was upgraded by both the JTWC and JMA to a tropical
storm today. The JMA has renamed Kujira to Peilou.

Maximum sustained winds are 40 mph. Peilou is forecast to
intensify through Monday.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
60 miles.
