PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
through flooded areas.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...Siletz River at Siletz.
* WHEN...Until late this morning.
* IMPACTS...Above 18.0 feet, expect minor flooding of a small
housing development near mile post 8 down stream from Mack
Landing. Widespread lowland and pasture land flooding also occurs
at this level. Flooding may be exacerbated during high tide.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:30 AM PST Wednesday the stage was 18.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 1:30 AM PST Wednesday was 19.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage early this
morning to 10.1 feet late tonight. It will then rise to 10.2
feet late tomorrow morning. It will fall to 6.4 feet early
Monday morning. It will then rise to 7.3 feet early Tuesday
morning. It will fall to 6.7 feet Wednesday, December 17 then
rise again.

* WHERE...Pudding River at Aurora.
* WHEN...From this morning to early Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...Above 24.0 feet, expect considerable flooding of
low-lying agricultural land and secondary roads from the Whiskey
Hill area downstream to the confluence with the Molalla River.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:00 AM PST Wednesday the stage was 19.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 21.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this morning to a crest of 23.5 feet late tonight. It
will then fall below flood stage Friday evening.
- Flood stage is 22.0 feet.

- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 5:30 PM PST Tuesday was 23.5 feet.

maximum value of 23.2 feet early this morning. It will fall
below flood stage early Saturday morning.

forecast.
* WHERE...Grays River at Covered Bridge near Rosburg.
* WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Above 30.5 feet, expect widespread lowland flooding and
numerous flooded roads near Rosburg and Hwy 4. These include
Covered Bridge Road near the gage and the roadway approaches to
the Altoona Bridge downstream of the gage.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:15 AM PST Wednesday the stage was 31.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 27.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 2:15 AM PST Wednesday was 33.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late
tomorrow morning to 25.4 feet late Monday morning. It will
then rise to 26.2 feet late Tuesday morning. It will fall to
25.6 feet Wednesday, December 17 then rise again.

particularly during high tides.

- At 1:30 AM PST Wednesday the stage was 11.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage to 12.7 feet
early this morning. It will then fall below flood stage this
morning to 6.0 feet late Monday morning. It will rise to 6.6
feet late Tuesday morning. It will then fall to 6.4 feet
Wednesday, December 17. It will then rise again but remain
below flood stage.
