...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northwest Oregon, including the following
counties, Lincoln, Polk, Tillamook and Yamhill.
* WHEN...Until 100 PM PST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 735 AM PST, Gauge reports indicated heavy rain. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area. Between 0.2 and 1.2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Newport, Lincoln City, Garibaldi, Manzanita, Pacific City,
Tillamook, Rockaway Beach, Cloverdale, Grand Ronde, Neskowin,
Valsetz, Cape Lookout, Trask, Lincoln Beach, Netarts,
Oceanside, Cape Meares, Eddyville, Lees Camp and Toledo.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
