.DISCUSSION...Offshore flow today ahead of an incoming front that
will arrive on Thursday. There will generally be elevated winds
with gusts greater than 20 mph with around a 10% chance of gusts
up to 30 mph between 2000-2300. These higher winds will generally
be more focused just to the west of the burn area. Winds increase
once more on Thursday ahead of the front which will bring light
precipitation to the area. The challenge will be the dry lower
atmosphere which could evaporate precipitation before reaching the
ground. Winds turn westerly after 0500 Thursday with gusts as high as
25 mph along ridgetops.

Ridgetop winds represent elevations around 2000 ft.
