...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL CLACKAMAS...SOUTH
CENTRAL MARION AND NORTHEASTERN LINN COUNTIES THROUGH 715 PM PDT...

At 614 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Detroit, moving northwest at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Detroit, Mill City, Idanha, Silver Falls, Gates, and Elkhorn.

In Oregon this includes State Highway 22 east of Salem between mile
markers 27 and 53.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
