The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a

* Dust Advisory for...
  West central Imperial County in southeastern California...

* Until 745 PM PDT.

* At 547 PM PDT, a dust channel was extending from just north of the
  Fish Creek Mountains eastward through the northern Imperial
  Valley, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Less than two miles visibility with strong wind in excess
           of 40 mph.

  SOURCE...Satellite imagery and webcams.

  IMPACT...Hazardous travel.

* Impacted roadways include Highways 78, 86, 111, and 115.

Locations impacted include...
Brawley, Westmorland, Calipatria, Alamorio, and Wiest.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving
conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in
dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep
your foot off the brake.
