...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Arizona, including the following
  areas, Central La Paz, Gila River Valley, Kofa, Parker Valley,
  Southeast Yuma County and Yuma and California, including the
  following areas, Chiriaco Summit, Chuckwalla Mountains, Chuckwalla
  Valley, Imperial County Southeast, Imperial County Southwest,
  Imperial County West, Imperial Valley, Joshua Tree NP East, Joshua
  Tree NP West, Palo Verde Valley and Salton Sea.

* WHEN...From Thursday afternoon through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Increasing moisture ahead of a tropical system will promote
    heavy rainfall. Rainfall totals up to 1 inch with locally
    higher amounts possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared

  Buckeye/Avondale, Cave Creek/New River, Central Phoenix, Deer
  Valley, East Valley, Fountain Hills/East Mesa, Gila Bend, North
  Phoenix/Glendale, Northwest Pinal County, Northwest Valley,
  Scottsdale/Paradise Valley, Sonoran Desert Natl Monument, South
  Mountain/Ahwatukee, Southeast Valley/Queen Creek, Tonopah Desert
  and West Pinal County.

* WHEN...From Friday afternoon through Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
