...FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE SAND STONE BURN SCAR REMAINS IN EFFECT
UNTIL 830 PM MST THIS EVENING FOR MARICOPA COUNTY...

At 531 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms have ended over
the Sand Stone Burn Scar. However, between 1 and 1.75 inches of rain
have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional
rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding in and around the Sand Stone Burn Scar.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the
         Sand Stone Burn Scar.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Ballantine Trailhead, Round Valley and Sugarloaf Mountain.

This includes AZ Route 87 between mile markers 204 and 213.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause
extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks...streams...and ditches
in the Sand Stone Burn Scar. Severe debris flows can also be
anticipated across roads. Roads and driveways may be washed away in
places. If you encounter flood waters...climb to safety.
