Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
224 PM MST Wed Oct 8 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Mainly dry conditions will prevail this evening across much of
the region, although there may be a few showers and storms that
develop over the high terrain NE of Phoenix which could produce
gusty outflow winds. Beginning tomorrow, abundant moisture will
arrive into the Desert Southwest leading to increased rain
chances, especially across the western deserts. Wetting rains will
be likely with localized totals up to 1.00". MinRHs today across
the lower deserts will bottom out around 15% with values closer to
30% in Gila County. Much higher humidities will be seen starting
Thursday with MinRHs above 30% areawide.

...Thunderstorms imply gusty winds...
