871 FNUS55 KPSR 092042 FWFPSR Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central Arizona and Southeast California National Weather Service Phoenix AZ 142 PM MST Sun Aug 9 2026 .DISCUSSION... Scattered showers and thunderstorms are anticipated across the higher terrain areas of the eastern districts, with a 15-25% chance of activity reaching the lower elevations this evening. Storm coverage will become more widespread late Monday afternoon and evening, resulting in a much better chance for wetting rainfall across southcentral AZ. Afternoon MinRHs will range between 20-25% today and increase closer to 25-30% on Monday along with good to excellent overnight recoveries. Aside from gusty and erratic winds near thunderstorms, the overall wind pattern will follow the diurnal trends with modest afternoon upslope gusts. ...Thunderstorms imply gusty winds...
