Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
1202 PM MST Sun Jan 4 2026

.DISCUSSION...
Dry weather with temperatures slightly above normal will prevail
through early this week. Despite the dry weather, moisture levels
will remain elevated with minimum humidity values only falling
into a 40-60% range following excellent overnight recovery above
80%. With the exception of some gusty westerly winds across
portions of SE California during the afternoon/evening hours, wind
speeds will remain relatively light with extended periods of
nearly calm conditions and poor ventilation.

Note...Additional Fire Weather Forecast information can be found
in the Area Forecast Discussion. See product PHXAFDPSR.
