522 FNUS55 KPSR 062101 FWFPSR Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central Arizona and Southeast California National Weather Service Phoenix AZ 201 PM MST Sat Jun 6 2026 ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM MST THIS EVENING DUE TO STRONG WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND HIGH FIRE DANGER... ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM MST /11 PM PDT/ THIS EVENING DUE TO STRONG WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND HIGH FIRE DANGER... .DISCUSSION... A Red Flag Warning has been posted for portions of SW Arizona and areas around the Lower Colorado River Valley for this afternoon and evening. Dry fuels, RHs around 10%, and gusts upwards of 35 mph will result in critical fire weather conditions for these areas. Elsewhere, gusts 20-30 mph will be common, resulting in elevated fire weather conditions for much of the region. After today, daily breezy conditions, albeit not as strong, can be expected through at least the start of the upcoming week, resulting in a prolonged period of elevated fire weather conditions. MinRHs will hold steady close to 10% across the region, while overnight recoveries only offer poor to modest recovery, with MaxRHs near 15-45% with the western districts in that higher range. Note...Additional Fire Weather Forecast information can be found in the Area Forecast Discussion. See product PHXAFDPSR.
