.DISCUSSION...
Dry conditions with above normal temperatures will prevail
through the end of the week and into the start of the weekend.
South/south-southwesterly winds will be common during the
daylight hours today after a period of light and variable
conditions early in the forecast period. Peak speeds will hover
close to 10 mph with some occasional gusts during the afternoon
hours upwards of 20 mph. Winds will swing back to the southeast
Thursday night into Friday morning, with another period of light
and variable conditions around sunrise. Stronger southerly winds
are expected for Friday afternoon with speeds closer to 10-15 mph
and more frequent gusts near 25 mph. MinRH values will hover right
around 10% with only modest relief overnight as MaxRHs range
close to 35-45%. The combination of low RHs and breezy afternoon
conditions will result in periods of elevated fire weather
conditions during the forecast window.
