...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is in effect now through midnight
tonight...

.DISCUSSION...
Potential for strong gusty thunderstorm outflow winds and direct
thunderstorm impacts will be the primary hazard the next few
evenings and overnight hours. Best chance (30-40%) for outflow
winds and a thunderstorm this evening will be between
2000-0100MST. Storm chances will be a bit lower tomorrow evening
(20%), with timing mainly between 02-06Z, but additional spotty
activity may develop late tomorrow night through early Wednesday
morning. Outflow wind gusts will be capable of exceeding 35 mph.
Storm chances increase up to 50-60% Wednesday afternoon and
evening.

Aside from thunderstorm influences, wind patterns will be
diurnally driven, with general winds favoring a westerly direction
during the daytime hours with speeds around 5-15 mph and gusts up
to 20-25 mph. Overnight and morning winds will favor downslope and
down valley components with lighter speeds (0-5 mph). Minimum RH
values in the afternoons will be around 25-35% and overnight
recoveries will be good to around 60%.
