...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT MARICOPA AND PINAL COUNTIES
THROUGH 700 PM MST...

At 634 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Chandler Heights, or 9 miles east of Sun Lakes. This thunderstorm was
nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of Maricopa and Pinal
Counties, including the following locations: Santan and Sacaton.

This includes the following highways...
AZ Interstate 10 between mile markers 171 and 172.
AZ Route 87 between mile markers 144 and 160.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
