.Discussion...
It will be windy today across southern CO though humidity levels will
stay just above critical thresholds. This will lead to some elevated
fire danger where humidities come close to the 15 percent threshold
across the plains. Otherwise, snow showers across the mountains will
decrease by afternoon followed by clearing skies and decreasing winds
tonight. It will be dry and mild for most of the region Tuesday and
Wednesday with some light rain and snow showers along the Continental
Divide at times as another system approaches from the west. This
system will bring a chance for rain and snow showers to southern CO,
including the plains, Thursday into Friday along with cooler
temperatures. Dry weather returns for Saturday with another late
weekend storm possible.
Most areas will see good or better afternoon smoke dispersion rates
today due to strong west winds. Afternoon dispersions on Tuesday will
be quite a bit lower with poor to fair for most areas.
