.Discussion...
Upper level ridging is expected to build into the Rockies
through the weekend, and then flatten out across the
region through the middle of next week, as a series of
weak disturbances translates through stronger westerly
flow in place across the Northern Tier. This will keep
temperatures at to slightly above seasonal levels through
the period, with enough residual moisture from recent
precipitation to keep slight chances of mainly afternoon
mountain showers in place from Sunday through Wednesday.
For the end of the week into next weekend, increasing
southwest flow aloft will keep temperatures at and above
seasonal levels, with chances of precipitation likely
increasing across the Continental Divide by the end of
next weekend.
Afternoon smoke dispersion looks to be fair to briefly good
over and near the higher terrain both tomorrow and Sunday,
with generally poor rates across the southeast plains both
days.
