.Discussion...
Isolated to widely scattered afternoon and evening showers and
storms will remain possible across the higher terrain through
Thursday, with the best coverage along and west of the Continental
Divide on Thursday. Temperatures will remain at to slightly above
seasonal norms through Thursday, despite a dry backdoor front,
which will bring breezy northerly winds across the eastern plains
this afternoon.
Upper level ridging flattens across the area on Friday and pushes
south and east through the weekend, allowing for cooler temperatures
and increased coverage and intensity of daily showers and storms
areawide into early next week.
Afternoon smoke dispersion will be good or better across the district
this afternoon and again on Thursday.
