.Discussion...
Warmer and drier weather remains in the offing through the rest of the
Labor Day Holiday weekend, as upper level ridging builds into the
Great Basin region. This will lead to drier northerly flow aloft across
the region, with isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms confined
to higher terrain. Temperatures slowly warm back to around seasonal
level through early next week. A cold front will move in Wednesday
afternoon bringing a brief uptick in thunderstorms for Wednesday and
Wednesday night, but drier air is quick to follow for Thursday.
Another pulse of monsoon moisture appears to bring another upward
trend to thunderstorms for next weekend.
Afternoon smoke dispersion will be generally fair to good category
across all of the district today, and across the western half of
the district on Monday, with very good or better dispersions across
the eastern half of the district on Monday.
