.Discussion...
Warmer temperatures will return to southern CO, especially the
southeast plains on Wednesday. Another tropical moisture tap will
set up across the mountains as southwesterly winds increase through
mid to late week. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be
possible through Thursday before tropical moisture maxes out
for Friday night and Saturday as remains from a tropical storm
system get swept northward into the region. Locally heavy rainfall
will be possible with thunderstorms, especially across the
eastern San Juan mountains. The plains will remain largely
dry with above normal temperatures through the period until
a cold front brings cooler temperatures late weekend into early
next week. No critical fire weather conditions are expected over
the next 7 days with the best chance for wetting and even saturating
rains expect late week into next weekend across the Continental Divide
and southwest mountains.
Most areas will see good or better afternoon dispersions for
Wednesday with fair to good on Thursday.
