.Discussion...
Critical fire weather conditions are NOT anticipated across the
district over the next seven days.
An upper ridge of high pressure will remain across the region
through the extended period, providing for persistent hot
temperatures with 90s to near 100F for the lower elevations, and 70s
and 80s for the mountains. There will be a daily chance for
afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, with the best
potential beginning Saturday and lasting through Tuesday.
Thunderstorms will be capable of producing periods of moderate to
heavy rainfall, cloud to ground lightning and gusty winds up to 50
mph. Flash flooding could occur on area burn scars.
Surface-based inversions will break Friday between 1000 and 1100,
with ventilation rates improving to Good to Very Good for all areas
by 1200 and lasting through 1900. Improved smoke dispersion trends
are forecast for Saturday.
