.Discussion...
A warming and drying trend can be expected out west with
critical fire weather conditions possible Monday and Tuesday
across the mountains and valleys. Given that fuels are not
deemed critical, no fire weather highlights are anticipated.
But any changes to fuels status as the dry conditions continue
could change this expectation. Meanwhile, isolated thunderstorms
will be possible today through Monday across portions of the
southeast plains, with the best chances for wetting rains
staying near the Kansas border. A cold front will bring cooler
temperatures for the district on Tuesday along with a better
chance for showers and thunderstorms across the southeast
mountains and plains. Warmer and drier weather returns for l
ate week into next weekend.
Afternoon dispersions will rise into the good to very good
range across the plains with excellent conditions expected
over the mountains both today and Sunday.
