.Discussion...
No meteorological fire weather conditions are expected through
the next several days across the district. Isolated to
scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected into this
evening across much of the area, with showers lingering along
the Continental Divide for much of the night. Thunderstorm
coverage will increase across the area on Monday, while afternoon
high temperatures remain well above average for one more day.
Precipitation chances ramp up across southern Colorado beginning
Tuesday and continue into the weekend, as a monsoon tap of Pacific
moisture will be re-established for much of the week. Precipitation
looks heaviest across the higher terrain, and flash flooding may
become a concern on area burn scars during this period.
Temperatures will fall back to below average levels on Tuesday,
then remain near to slightly below average for much of the
week.
Afternoon smoke dispersion will reach good or better levels at
most locations on Monday, the fall back into the fair to poor
range on Tuesday.
