.Discussion...
No critical fire weather conditions are expected through the next
seven days. A front will move in from the northwest tonight,
bringing in breezy winds and much colder temperatures. Light snow,
a few inches at most, will be possible over the Central
Mountains, with a few flakes potentially falling over the top of
the Palmer Divide. Another quick-moving and generally dry system
will move through around Sunday Night with similar impacts. As of
now, the eastern plains are expected to remain dry. Temperatures
through about Monday will be below normal, with a slight warmup
and more potentially unsettled weather near the middle of next
week.
Afternoon smoke dispersions will vary greatly on Saturday. The
eastern plains and lower portions of Lake and Chaffee Counties
will see fair to good dispersion rates, while the rest of the
district will see poor rates. Rates across the district will be
mostly poor on Sunday, with fair to good conditions over the
southern San Luis Valley and far eastern plains.
