Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
832 AM MDT Wed May 29 2024

.Discussion...

Critical fire weather conditions are not expected through much of
the extended forecast. Daily chances for showers and thunderstorms
will continue through the work week with thunderstorms most numerous
across the southeast plains where a few strong to severe storms will
be possible today through Thursday. Hotter and drier weather will
spread in over the weekend into early next week. Gusty winds on
Sunday could result in some marginal critical fire weather
conditions for fire zone 225.

Afternoon smoke dispersions will be very good to excellent across
most of the district for today. For tomorrow, dispersions will very
greatly by zone. For the most part, the plains will see rates that
are good or better, and the high country will see rates that are
very good or better for tomorrow.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
