.Discussion...
No critical fire weather conditions are expected during this
forecast period.
The weather pattern is going to change starting tomorrow. The
first in a series of Pacific weather systems will move into the
region and bring a band of snow to the continental divide region
mainly tomorrow night. Several inches of accumulating snow is
likely, especially over the San Juans. Over the southern Sangre
De Cristo mountains, strong mountain top winds are likely.
Another slow moving Pacific weather system will track slowly
across the southwest United States during the mid week time
period, and this system will have the potential to bring a
more widespread precipitation event to the district. This system
will also bring much cooler air to the region as it moves across
the region. unsettled weather may last into late week.
Smoke dispersion will be poor over the plains tomorrow afternoon
and Monday afternoon.
Smoke dispersion over the mountains will generally be fair to good
both tomorrow afternoon and Monday afternoon.
