.DISCUSSION...

For today and into tonight, scattered to numerous showers and
storms are expected to be ongoing around the burn scar area.
Stronger storms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall, flash
flooding, strong outflow winds to 45-50 mph, small hail, and
frequent lightning. This precipitation is expected to end and push
east around by 9 PM this evening, with dry conditions then
prevailing into early tomorrow afternoon. Monday afternoon then
brings a repeat of today, with another Flash Flood Watch issued
for the burn scar area. These showers and storms will again
meander east through the evening and push east by around 8-9 PM
tomorrow evening. Tuesday through Thursday brings the same thing,
with additional rounds of scattered to numerous rain showers and
thunderstorms, with early afternoon development expected. Looking
at winds, predominantly northwesterly winds around 10-12 mph today
will become more light, and mostly terrain driven, though even
variable at times tonight. Winds then may increase again by early
morning, with another window of sustained northwesterly winds to
10 mph, and gusts to 20 mph. By late Monday morning though, winds
are expected to again shift and become more northeasterly, though
decrease in magnitude, with winds only 5-8 mph, and no persistent
or appreciable gusts. This wind pattern will develop Tuesday as
well, with another night of light and variable winds Monday night.
As for humidity values, they will follow a typical diurnal trend.
Values overnight will increase to 73-81%, with values dropping to
around 24-32% during the afternoons.
