.DISCUSSION...

Widespread rainfall remains on tap across the area, especially tonight
and through the day on Wednesday, as an upper low translates across
northern New Mexico and into the Oklahoma panhandle. Abundant subtropical
moisture wrapping around the system will bring moderate to at times heavy
rain the area through the day Wednesday, with rain slowly diminishing from
northwest to southeast across the region Wednesday night into early
Thursday morning, as the weather system continues to lift out across
the Central High Plains. Precipitation amounts continue vary, however
2 to 3 inches of rain over the next 2 days remains most probable, with
the potential for locally higher amounts. Rainfall rates also remain
problematic, as there is not expected to be much instability to enhance
precipitation rates, however, there will be enough dynamic support
and upslope to enhance precipitation at times. In addition, breezy
northerly winds will develop later tonight and through the day Wednesday,
leading to possible fallen trees with expected saturated soils.

By Friday and into the weekend, warmer and drier weather returns,
as upper level ridging builds back across the Rockies.
