.DISCUSSION...

Warm and generally dry the rest of the afternoon. There is a low-end
chance for a few isolated showers to pass through the area, mainly
between 6-8pm. These storms would carry little in terms of rainfall,
but gusty outflow winds and some light rain would still be possible.

A cold front moves in overnight and into early Wednesday, bringing
gusty winds out of the north-northeast and more moist air.

On Wednesday, storms are expected to fire over the mountains shortly
after midday, moving east-southeast through the remainder of the
day. All storms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall and
lightning, with flash flooding being a primary concern. Have issued
a Flash Flood Watch, valid 1pm-8pm. Further east, storms may become
strong to severe, producing strong outflow winds and hail. Storms
are expected to last in the area until 8pm or so, though a few
isolated showers may linger a bit longer, with the area expected to
dry out prior to 11pm. While winds throughout the day on Wednesday
will primarily be out of the southeast, showers and thunderstorms
will result in more gusty and erratic winds.

For next week, a better monsoon plume is forecast to move over the
district, It will become a bit cooler and there will a much better
chance of rain over the district during this time period.
