.DISCUSSION...

Hot and generally dry through the first part of the day. Winds will
pick up early this afternoon west-southwest over the higher terrain
and southeast over the lower portions of Pueblo County. High
temperatures will be in the 90s, with RH dropping to around 20%.

Later today, after 4pm or so, isolated showers and thunderstorms are
expected to form over the mountains, pushing northeast into this
evening. Very few storms, if any, are expected over the burn scar,
but the chance for brief periods of rainfall (and therefore flash
flooding), as well as lightning and gusty outflow winds around 35-40
mph, will be possible. Showers will dissipate overnight, with RH
recovering to around 60%.

Monday will be a few degrees cooler, gusty southwest winds across
the area. Monsoon moisture will increase over the region, with
scattered showers/storms kicking up late in the morning and lasting
through most of the afternoon. Brief periods of rainfall and gusty
winds will be the main impact concerns.
