.DISCUSSION...
For the area of interest, scattered showers and storms are
expected each afternoon today and tomorrow, with the greatest
coverage of precipitation expected today. Even with that said,
rogue showers may still be possible outside of that given rich
monsoon moisture still streaming over the area. Greatest hazards
from any storms will be heavy rainfall and flash flooding, gusty
outflow winds to around 35 mph, and lightning. Looking at winds,
they are expected to start increasing this morning, with a
predominant southwesterly component through tomorrow. Sustained
winds are expected to be around 12-17 mph, and gusts to around
25-30 mph. The strongest winds are expected both this morning and
Friday morning between 6 AM - 12 PM MDT. Winds are anticipated to
start lessening heading through Friday afternoon. Humidity values
will follow a typical diurnal trend, with lowest values during the
afternoons, and highest values overnight. Values this afternoon
will fall to around 48-51 percent, increase to around 79-82
percent tonight, and then fall to around 42-44 percent Thursday
afternoon.
